Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa as a Regional Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Northern Region team in delivering high-quality administrative, financial, and database services.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Office Administration: Provide general administrative support, including record-keeping, filing, and maintaining accurate databases.

  2. Email Management: Monitor and respond to all incoming emails, ensuring timely distribution of tasks and actions.

  3. Meeting Minutes: Take minutes of staff meetings and submit draft reports to the Regional Manager for approval.

  4. Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock control, and asset register updates.

  5. Financial Services: Perform day-to-day financial work, including Fraxion loading, banking transactions, and calculating monthly savings from Gifts-In-Kind donations.

  6. Fundraising and Awareness: Assist with CHOC's support programs, campaigns, and events at the regional level.

  7. CRM Data Capture: Undertake tasks related to CRM data capture, upload, and maintenance on Salesforce.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Completed grade 12 with accounting as a subject, along with a qualification in bookkeeping, administration, or office management.

  • At least 5 years' experience in general administration and bookkeeping, preferably in the NGO sector.

  • Proficient in computer literacy, particularly in MS Office and database systems (CRM).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with fluency in both English and Afrikaans.
