Job Title: Sales Account Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Account Manager to join our team at ADM. As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our food customer base in the region, driving customer projects, and building a solid project pipeline for sustainable business results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for food sales customers in the South African region, including the support of Key Accounts, distributors, and regular food customers.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies within the East African market.
  • Create and fulfill own sales plans and budget on the basis of market plans.
  • Control all sales activities with existing and potential customers.
  • Establish and develop long-term customer relationships.
  • Monitor the market and identify market potential.
  • Develop customer concepts in cooperation with product management, application, and product development.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Degree in any of the sciences, food science and technology, or business administration would be preferred.
  • Experience in the B2B food ingredients business, plant-based proteins, and texturants would be highly appreciated.
  • Knowledge and commercial contacts to the Savory (Meat extension, Meat analogue, Snacks), Dairy, and Sweet goods markets.
  • Flexible and willingness to travel regularly within the region (50%).
  • Excellent English language skills. French or Portuguese will be advantageous.
  • Independent and structured work.
  • Enthusiasm, initiative, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Team spirit, result-oriented, and strong communication skills.
  • Strong customer, service orientation, and technology skills.
  • Ability to connect and work within an international matrix organization.
