Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, agency managers, and owners across Gauteng, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery.
- Sales Promotion and Product Knowledge: Promote and sell Arvo's products/services to travel agents, driving revenue and increasing market share.
- Travel and Support: Spend most of your time on the road, visiting travel agencies across Gauteng, providing support, training, and product knowledge to agents.
- Data Management and Reporting: Use Excel (including pivot tables) to track and report on sales performance, customer activity, and trends. Manage and update customer data in the CRM system.
- Troubleshooting and Feedback: Assist agents with online booking systems and troubleshooting to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Provide feedback to management on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Geographical Coverage: Be prepared to travel to other provinces within South Africa and potentially to neighbouring countries for business development and relationship management.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience in Sales-Driven Environments: Previous experience in the travel industry or hotel industry is highly advantageous, especially if you have experience selling to travel agents or working in a sales-driven role.
- Proven Track Record: Proven track record of building relationships, generating sales, and achieving targets.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced Excel Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables for reporting.
- Online Booking Systems and CRM Software: Experience with online booking systems and customer relationship management software.
- Sales Reporting and Performance Metrics: Ability to manage sales reporting and track performance metrics.
- Languages: Fluent in English and Afrikaans. Knowledge of other African languages such as Sesotho, Setswana, Zulu, or Xhosa is a definite advantage.
- Work Environment and Travel: Ability to work remotely, manage your own schedule, and be proactive in making sales visits to agents. Be ready to visit the Cape Town office approximately once a week for meetings and updates. Willingness to travel domestically (within South Africa) and occasionally to neighbouring countries, including air travel.
- Estimated Salary Range: R55,000 - R70,000 per month, negotiable and depending on experience.
