Our client, a well-established and respected firm based in Stellenbosch, offering professional services across various sectors is on the hunt for a Legal Secretary / PA, to join their team. You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Managing of deceased Estates under micro management of Principal

Reporting of deceased estate

Reporting of all trusts documentation and drafting of Wills / Testaments and Trust Documents General

Special and Tax power of attorneys

Advertising of estates in the local newspaper and the Government Gazette

Drafting letters to the Master of the High Court to acquire Letters of Executorship or Appointment

Corresponding with the Master until receiving Section 174

Discharge of the Executors duties and responsibilities

Drafting of Liquidation and Distribution Account after receiving feedback from banks

Filing of original and copies of documents

Liaising with clients and attending meetings

Drafting of Deed of Sales for Immovable property

Booking of boardroom meetings

Requesting office manager to open estate late accounts or investment accounts

Writing out EFTs for payments to SARS, Heirs or Executor of the estate

Notifying the conveyancing department of any transfer of property in a deceased estate

Records appointment and events in the diary of the manager

Effective drafting of appropriate correspondence, preparation and typing of letters, notes,

opinions, presentations and other documents, including the formatting of documents and

tracking changes

**Education**:
Matric / Grade 12

Legal Secretarial Diploma / Certificate / Paralegal qualification to your advantage

3 - 4 Years’ experience as a Legal Secretary

A high standard of typing, competent in using Microsoft Office

**Skills**:
Able to produce accurate high-quality work in a timely manner

Able to manage time efficiently and use initiative

Be proactive and prioritise activities according to level of urgency

Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and be fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)

Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

Displays a professional approach and maintains Firm and client confidentiality at all times

Able to remain calm under pressure during periods of high work volumes and strict time frames

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Possess well-developed interpersonal and professional telephone etiquette

A team player and a willingness to work for various professionals

A professional, flexible and friendly disposition

Sense of absolute confidentiality, urgency and ability to work under pressure

Excellent typing skills, including formatting various documents

Strong administration and organisational skills

**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R18,000.00 per month
