**Position: Head Ranger**

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all ranger operations to ensure quality and consistency.
- Develop and maintain high standards for guiding and guest experiences.
- Manage and train rangers to deliver outstanding wildlife and nature experiences.
- Lead game drives and guided walks, providing in-depth knowledge of the local flora and fauna.
- Ensure all equipment and vehicles are well-maintained and ready for use.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory and supplies to ensure readiness for guest activities.
- Maintain a discreet and professional demeanor at all times.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**:

- ** Guest Satisfaction**: Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction with ranger services.
- ** Quality Assurance**: Ensure consistent quality in guiding and guest experiences.
- ** Staff Training & Development**: Implement effective training programs to enhance ranger performance and service delivery.
- ** Cost Control**: Manage ranger services budget to meet financial targets without compromising quality.
- ** Health & Safety Compliance**: Adhere to and enforce all health and safety regulations.
- ** Inventory Management**: Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess.
- ** Efficiency**: Ensure timely and efficient ranger operations to meet guest expectations.
- ** Guest Personalization**: Ensure personalized services that cater to individual guest preferences.
- ** Team Collaboration**: Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
- ** Innovation**: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance wildlife experiences and guest satisfaction.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Head Ranger or similar role in a luxury hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Up-to-date knowledge of local wildlife, flora, and fauna.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- FGASA Level 2 or similar qualification is advantageous.
