**Introduction**
- Consult is a registered Financial Service Provider (FSP), holding a FSB Category FSP I and II license. Consult dispenses financial planning, product advice, product execution and investments management services to individuals and businesses in the high net worth, affluent, retail upper and small business enterprises (SME’s) market.Consult is a Registered Financial Advice firm (RFA), allowing us to offer our clients product solutions of all of the major life, health, saving, investments, short term and employee benefits providers in South Africa. We have contract with 122 product providers in total.
Consult is one of South Africa’s largest and most respected financial planning and advice specialists with a national footprint of 280 financial advisers, including 50 specialist short term advisers, spanning across South Africa. We subscribe to the principles of treating our customers fairly and in doing so, offer our clients industry leading solutions.
**Role Purpose**
- The purpose of the **Franchise Development Manager **role is to position, provide marketing support and implementation of the investments, savings & wealth management solutions and CVPs in Consult and Consult Franchises. The role also aligns the franchises with Consult house-view and enhancing the financial wellness and client centric philosophy.**Requirements**:
- Completed a qualification related to financial planning (min 120 credits NQF6) (essential)
- Certified Financial Planner (preferred)
- 5-8 Years financial services experiences, particularly in asset wealth management
- 5-8 years of experience in investment marketing arena
- Hold both RE1 and RE5 (essential)
- Strong knowledge of the investment, wealth management industry in South African and international markets
- Legal knowledge of product wrappers, FAIS, exchange control and financial instruments
**Duties & Responsibilities**
**Provides Investment and Marketing technical support**:
- Assist with day to day general marketing activities and tasks associated with the smooth running of marketing interventions
- Support the development and delivery of marketing campaigns
- Support and assist with internal communications and reporting
- Work with the communications Specialist to plan engaging contents through social medial and other digital
- Measure the impact of marketing plans by assessing the effectiveness of events and marketing spend relative to

**Growth Enabler by delivering client and Franchise Value Proposition**:
- Financial Planning & Advice
- Provide technical support, investment marketing and specialist support in the field in order to promote and grow investment, savings and wealth management propositions
- Franchise itself Practice Management: Implement tactics to develop and maximize the franchise practice management through sound financial planning and advice.
- Ensure efficient and effective practices through financial planning and advice
- Vesting a new Franchise
**Support the practice management model**:
- Facilitate investment workshops;
- Assist with portfolio construction;
- Focus on satisfying the wealth creation, preservation and income needs of clients, as well as the wealth management support service needs of under-licence Channels, where applicable;
**Relationship Building**:
- Manage and connect all the different components of the wealth management investment framework
- Act as a connection between Consult Head Office and Franchises: Build close relationships with franchises
- Assist in contributing to the Consult’s growth
**Supporting Franchise/ Practice development/Support the practice management**:
- Support recruitment of new franchises
- Support the Practice Management practice
- Support Vesting of new franchises and key account management
- Support and ensuring compliance and license management
- Build close relationships with franchises;
- Facilitate investment workshops;
- Assist with portfolio construction;
- Focus on satisfying the wealth creation, preservation and income needs of clients, as well as the wealth management support service needs of under-licence Channels, where applicable
**Manage Wealth Management Strategy & Proposition and Funds under management**:
- Ensure effective and consistent service delivery and support to external clients
- Build and retain funds under management
- Migrate existing assets to focus solutions and influence new business flows into focus solutions
- Update advisers on fund and market changes
- Consider the funds positioning and ensure an in-depth knowledge of the funds ‘s investment philosophy and objectives
- Engage with all stakeholders and users in positioning and promoting these funds
- Profile the above funds across all media platinum in consultation
