Franchising Development Manager

The Palesa Mbali Group is seeking a highly skilled Franchising Development Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to drive business growth and development in the franchising sector.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a results-driven professional with 8-10 years of experience in the financial services industry, specifically in franchising. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business acumen, project management principles, and risk management processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow and retain the franchising market nationally and in Africa. They will work closely with stakeholders to establish and maintain relationships, develop franchising models, and enhance the company's profile among the franchisor fraternity.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Contribute to a culture conducive to achieving transformation goals by participating in culture-building initiatives.
- Achieve business strategy by participating and supporting corporate social responsibility initiatives.
- Influence the improvement or enhancement of business processes and methodologies.
- Develop a thorough understanding of franchisors' businesses and needs through client visitations and assessments.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders through collaboration and communication.
- Develop and enhance franchising models by partnering with external stakeholders.
- Enhance the company's profile among franchisors and identify opportunities to promote their brand.
- Raft franchisor visitation plans and monitor progress.
- Provide accreditation of franchising brands by analyzing relevant documentation.
- Review client value propositions annually and assess industry trends.
- Monitor and identify potential risks of franchise portfolios.
- Ensure a uniform credit process is applied across regions and in Africa.
- Provide input and advice on selecting business solutions/products for the franchising sector.
- Formulate and manage national franchising budgets.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree or Advanced Diploma/degree, with a preference for Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) certification. They will also possess advanced franchised management certification and at least 3 years of experience in the franchising industry.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide opportunities for personal growth and development, as well as a dynamic and supportive work environment.
