Personal Assistant to The Office of The CEO

Skynamo is looking for a Personal Assistant - this role will be part of the office of the CEO, reporting directly into our Chief of Staff (CoS).

**Context**

The primary task is assisting our CEO and CoS with practical day-to-day activities, which can range from arranging a gift for a board member to handling the paperwork for share trades, tidying power point presentations and managing complicated diary clashes.

The role needs to take things off the plates of the CEO and CoS, enabling them to focus on planning and strategising for Skynamo.

The work is practical and can look like a to-do list, but happens in complex, evolving environment, where situation specific decisions need to be made and creative solutions may be required.

Sometimes a recipe will have to be followed to get to a certain outcome. Sometimes there will be complete autonomy. An important part of the role is understanding when autonomous decisions can be made, or when the potential impact of a decision is too big and falls outside of the scope of authority.

Often, decisions will need to be made quickly and independently.

This is an in-person, in-office role in our Stellenbosch based office.

- Issues, problems and requests are touched once by the CEO and/ or Chief of Staff
- The CEO’s calendar is prioritized consistently and effectively - not just managed - freeing up mental capacity of the office of the CEO
- Admin related tasks and duties are under control and taken care of. You will know you are doing this well if it seems to happen like magic.

- Business literacy - understanding of basic concepts / terms used in business which make up the context in which the work happens and informs the day-to-day decisions that need to be made
- Excellent written and verbal skills - ability to communicate and connect with people
- Thrive in routine - comfortable with following guidelines, instructions or ‘recipes’ where necessary to complete certain projects and duties
- Self-discipline - micromanagement isn’t part of our language
- Sense of humour - we love having fun

**Customers and stakeholders**

The primary customer is the Office of the CEO.

The secondary customer is the whole of Skynamo. This includes all our different departments and divisions such as our StratCo team, ManCo, the Board, and what goes on behind the scenes.
