**Sales Manager**

**Minimum Requirements**
- Essential: Matric.
- Relevant qualification in sales management would be highly beneficial.
- Essential: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Comfortable with travelling to clients and available for work on Saturdays.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- The Sales Manager is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the sales department and its team, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy.
- A key objective of the Sales Manager’s role is to enhance the sales department’s commercial success by increasing revenue and optimising profitability.
- Meeting performance targets will involve focusing on customer service, regional marketing, sales activities, and administrative duties.
- Day-to-day responsibilities also include managing staff, identifying new opportunities to drive sales growth, and responding to customer needs and expectations.
- Weekly meetings are held with the Sales Team, including one-on-one discussions, and minutes are shared with Senior Management.
- Leading and motivating the sales team to drive sales performance and ensure operational efficiency.
- Setting individual sales targets that align with the company’s overall sales goals.
- Reviewing sales data and projecting future sales volumes to maximise profit.
- Interpreting local and regional market trends to support strategic planning.
- Utilising IT systems for recording sales, data analysis, and forecasting.
- Handling staff matters such as conducting performance reviews, appraisals, and coordinating training and development programmes.
- Ensuring continuous training for the sales team and relevant personnel on both existing and new products.
- Upholding quality standards, customer service, and health and safety regulations.
- Addressing customer complaints related to sales, quality, and market trends.
- Planning and executing promotions, displays, and events.
- Scheduling and leading team meetings as needed.
- Keeping colleagues informed on business performance, new projects, and other key developments.
- Regularly walking the sales floor to engage with staff and customers, and to address any urgent issues.
- Staying informed about market trends, understanding future customer needs, and monitoring competitor activity.
- Performing any other duties relevant to the branch as directed by the Managing Director or their delegate.
