Senior Manager - Channel Operations

Mimecast is a largely Channel focused company and transacts the majority of its revenue via IT Channel Resellers and Managed Service Providers (MSPs). In this role you will be overseeing a team of Channel Operations professionals to support the EMEA channel sales team and partner community by guiding channel operations functions, contributing to corporate-led operational process-improvement initiatives, fostering Channel Account Manager (CAM) relationships to support their focus on revenue generation, and supporting partner-facing program workflows and systems to support the channel transactional processes. You'll play a pivotal leadership role with many stakeholders across the Mimecast business, including Channel Marketing, Business Systems, Business Intelligence, Customer Success, Legal and Channel Sales and Sales.

We are looking for a meticulously organized and process-driven individual who is a critical thinker that can execute lead a team on achieving daily tasks as well as create, guide or management strategic initiatives at the theater or global level.

**Responsibilities**:
Business -As-Usual:

- Manage a team of Channel Operations Analysts and Specialists who support Channel Management, Channel Account Managers and Sales teams with general Channel Ops related queries (facilitated via the Channel Ops Support case management platform - Zendesk)
- Assist with the administration of Partner facing systems (Partner Portals, etc.) and drive process improvement initiatives associated to these systems
- Liaise with Channel Account Managers to manage inbound queries from Partners pertaining to the Partner Portals (administration, access, enablement via demonstrations)
- Consultant for the operational aspects of Mimecast’s partner profitability programs - driving process creation and improvement efforts with Mimecast’s business admins, developers, and other key stakeholders
- Key point of contact for EMEA Channel Management for all matters pertaining to partner legal requirements, operational systems issues, program operations, channel sales compensation, and KPI metrics reporting requirements.

Support Strategic Channel Operations Projects:

- Leads cross functional collaboration with other Mimecast operational teams (L&R, COPs, DBI) to assess and advance projects related to Mimecast’s desire to accelerate business and make it easier for partners to do business with Mimecast.
- Contribute to continuous evolution of partner account and contact hygiene to ensure transactional efficiencies are met
- Provide inputs for stronger partner annual compliance management and execution. This includes managing the annual partner compliance process in conjunction with the greater Channel Ops team
- Strategize and guide, as needed, Mimecast’s Business Systems team with User Acceptance Testing (User acceptance testing) for new product enhancements, system launches and pricing changes

You'll need:

- Ability to lead and mentor a team of 3 or more, Channel Operations Specialists and/or Analysts
- Key influencer with a strong voice to drive and deliver global channel operations change and transformation
- Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Comprehensive/expert understanding of channel ecosystems including routes to market and distribution
- Has worked in a customer/partner experience function
- Ability to orchestrate and project manage cross functional projects, locally and/or remotely.
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
- Critical thinking skills with an interest in trying new ways of doing things
- Attention to detail with a passion for delivering an exceptional level of service
- Participate as a key/contributing member of the EMEA Channel Leadership team
- Track record of meeting and exceeding targets/KPIs
- 3 or more years successfully managing a team
- Experience in similar function for a Technology-centric vendor
- Holds a working knowledge of Tableau (BI tool). Helpful but not mandatory
- Experience with administering a Partner Relationship Management Platform (SFDC Partner Communities etc.)
- Intermediate to expert Microsoft Excel Skills to run key reports
- Can-Do attitude with a willingness to tackle tough projects
