**Responsibilities**:
Achieving of sales targets
Achieve an agreed annual sales target which will be reviewed annually
Ensure that agreed turnover and margin targets are achieved on a monthly basis.
Prospecting and relationship building
Actively identify and pursue potential business for DataVoice in previously identified existing channels as well as potential new channels or end-customers, in defined and agreed territories.
Define, develop and manage relationships with key individuals in allocated channels and ensure that the relationships with these contacts are maintained at appropriate levels between key DataVoice personnel and similar people in the channel organisations and/or end-customers.
Ensure retention of current markets and channel customers as well as end-users of the DataVoice product.
Account planning and stegising
Participate in the development of sales strategies and provide sales and forecasting information for budget planning purposes.
Implement appropriate sales programmes.
Develop and implement channel account strategies that deliver on agreed objectives.
Coordination, communication and integration of business plans.
Develop strategies to identify, explore and close new business.
Subscribe to and actively contribute information relating to the sales and prospecting activities in support of the management information system in the organisation.
Through continuous participation in technical, sales and business training, as well as personal research, ensure that skills and knowledge stay up-to-date.
Foster and develop knowledge of The company’s offerings in order to correctly position The company’s capabilities at an executive level in the customer base.
Through close cooperation with the general and product marketing functions in the organisation, contribute and participate in marketing functions.

Qualification requirements
Grade 12
Certificate in sales and/or marketing
Experience and competency requirements
Experience in sales within the communications and IT fields.
An understanding of sales metrics and methodologies.
Motivation to succeed in sales.
At least 3 years’ working experience in a sales and marketing environment.
