**Background**

iStore prides itself on delivering world class product, service and solutions for our customers. We’re currently searching for a** creative, connected and experienced **events manager to join our team at the iStore Queens Hotel. You'll manage the whole events’ process from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation. The role is hands-on and involves working as part of the overall iStore team.

**Objectives and overview of role**

The Events Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the training and events calendar at iStore Queens Hotel. From concept, to curation, to implementation and follow up. This is a new role - and will require the energy and vision to bring this iStore space to life with events in line with brand and business objectives - creating a hub for community, collaboration and creativity.

Charged with creating experiences and bringing visions to life, the event planner needs to be adept at juggling many tasks. Scouting talents, managing relationships, curating programmes and client communications, creating and negotiating contracts, and managing budgets are all typical functions in this role.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- At least 3 years experience in like position/proven experience as events manager in relevant sector
- strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- creative thinker with the ability to conceptualise new ideas and themes
- ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure
- The ability to problem solve and pre-empt problems
- Must have flexibility to frequently attend events and be on-the-ground
- Must have flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required
- Own car /drivers license

**Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualise programme strategy and calendar aligned to quarterly business objectives
- Produce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
- Proactively monitoring the programmes progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
- Co-ordinating and managing internal and external communication with all stakeholders and business units needed to support the programme across online, marketing, logistics, training, education and in-store
- Source and manage the relationship with key suppliers needed to support the programme
- Manage event logistic requirements. Host and assist with event setup and logistics
- Develop, manage and recon the overall budget
