Marketing Manager

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Marketing Manager at IconAF is **responsible for creating a marketing strategy, building brand awareness and expanding the market segment, with a predominant focus on digital channels. **This role requires innovative marketing strategy and implementation across brand, communications, CSI and digital. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through collaboration with the marketing team and internal stake holders.

It requires a high-energy, self-motivated, analytical, agile individual with strong people and project management skills. The applicant must be comfortable with working in a dynamic, diverse, fast paced, continually evolving and results-driven environment.

**Responsibilities & Duties**

The marketing manager reports directly to the Directors. They are responsible for the brand image and brand performance. Create a strategy for all marketing team members, including Digital, Advertising, Communication, and creatives. Take complete accountability for the brand’s performance.

**People Responsibility**:

- Develop plans to establish a brand equity.
- Design branding, positioning, advertising, and communication strategy.
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the Marketing
department.
- Setting, monitoring, and reporting on goals/targets.
- Monitor competition (price changes, new products and features, target market etc.)
- Develop tactics to boost the company’s reputation and drive qualified traffic
- . Planning and leadership of marketing department ensuring appropriate structures,
process, resources, and control (including budgeting)
- Overall responsibility for developing, coordinating and implementing the groups
marketing plan and initiatives
- Brand Management: responsibility for managing brand reputation and risk, including
overseeing market research. Develop and improve brand identity and positioning
ensuring there is a consistent & strong image across all initiatives.
- Advertising: managing both the above the line and below the lines campaigns
- Media Relations: coordinate media interest, ensuring regular contact and appropriate
responses to improve presence in the market including management of media share of
voice
- Event Management: in collaboration business units provide creative input into the
management of corporate events and workshops by providing on-brand staging ideas
and developing world class collateral
- Collateral management: coordinate appearance of all organization print and electronic
materials (letterheads, use of logo, brochures, folders, newsletters etc) and manage
apparel
- Drive and manage the ongoing development and management of our corporate social
investment initiatives to ensure that this strategic aspect of the business remains relevant
and evolves as the business and country landscape changes
- Manage relationship, delivery and communication with internal clients and external
service providers, including advertising agency
- To take over the co-ordination of our marketing plan, including the Public Relations
function.
- To create an in-house sales, marketing plan for the entire group. Co-ordinate these
activities through team work to achieve the expected results.
- To create relationship with the support team of each branch/project to improve sales
results/productivity in all departments.
- Analyses complaints and recommends solutions and improvements to remain result
driven.
- To assist in establishing all new brands/projects to become a market leader within their
respective industries and to become a household name within the community and the
industry alike.
- To create new opportunities for consideration to showcase the in the respective industry,
nationally and internationally.
- To achieve the highest standard of employee and customer satisfaction.

**Business Responsibility**:

- Ensure marketing team workflow is followed through.
- Conduct market research and advice business on the opportunities.
- Provide business with daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Identify gaps in the market and suggest an appropriate way to optimise
- Ensure adherence to the company’s process at all times
- Adhere to admin deadlines in submitting Teams documents and reports:

- Monthly marketing report
- Marketing plans for the following month
- Brand performance report
- Teams Performance Management documents

**Key performance Measures**:
1. Alignment to processes and quality

2. Reporting to the business on brand/product performance

3. Meeting timelines on marketing project plans

4. Personnel management (absenteeism, late coming, managing staff issues) specific to
department direct reports

5. Timeous delivery of reports, findings and remediation processes

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
