Automotive Regional Sales Manager – OEM - Gauteng, Northern Suburbs

Our client, an Automotive Manufacturer is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to work hand in hand with the dealer network to drive sales growth.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing dealership operations while taking accountability for achieving targets.
This role requires the ability to provide ongoing support, with a focus on sales revenue and market share growth, aligned with the strategic objectives of the OEM, which includes overseeing dealership teams, setting strategic goals and implementing profitable growth initiatives.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential to drive performance and exceed business objectives.

Remuneration: Market related – Benefits including Incentive, Company Vehicle, Fuel, Provident Fund, Medical Aid
Duties include:
- Create regional sales plans and targets in alignment with business objectives.
- Support Dealer Network with operations.
- Evaluate Dealership and individual performances.
- Report on regional sales results.
- Forecast quarterly and annual targets, budgets.
- Develop new Dealership staff.
- Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility.
- Analyse regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.
- Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions.
- Participate in decisions for expansion or business plans for new Dealers.
- Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a senior sales role such as Vehicle Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager, or Dealer Development Manager within the motor industry.
- Matric qualification required; a postgraduate business-related qualification is an advantage.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Strong ability to analyse and measure key performance indicators (ROI & KPIs).
- Proficiency in CRM software and a deep understanding of dealer operations.
- Skilled in leading, motivating, and developing a high-performance Dealer Network.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- This role demands strong resilience, the ability to thrive under pressure, and effective self-management in daily challenges while consistently demonstrating commitment, energy, and motivation.
