As the Sales Manager you will be responsible for new business development and managing existing accounts. You will be developing and implementing sales & marketing strategies, identifying new market opportunities, and leading the team to achieve sales goals.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • New business development and managing existing accounts.
  • Establish sales and marketing strategies, set goals and tasks and supervise the implementation thereof.
  • Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Execute competition and market analysis and present this to the Board.
  • Perform regular backlog, pipeline and lead reviews and propose recovery plans.
  • Prepare and present the sales budget.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships.
  • Contribute to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Account Executives.
  • Recruit, assign KPIs and tasks and periodically evaluate the sales department staff.
  • Ensure that company policies, procedures and business ethics codes are communicated and implemented within the team.

 

Requirements

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification essential, preferably in a technical field such as electrical engineering, power engineering, mechanical engineering or mining.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with at least 3 years in a leadership and strategic management role.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver professional presentations.
  • Proven ability to create and analyse reports.
  • Extensive experience in Social Media development strategies.
