Role Purpose

The Talent management specialist role coordinates and supports initiatives that are aimed at attracting, developing and retaining MDS employees. The role works closely with the HCBPs to ensure that all learning and development, career management, performance management processes and other related projects are carried out and completed on time, to ensure an engaged and high-performance driven culture.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Honours degree Industrial Psychology/ Masters Industrial Psychology
  • Registered Psychometrist/ Industrial Psychologist
  • Accreditation to use various assessment tool

Experience

  • 23 years experience in a similar role.

Duties & Responsibilities

Learning and development

  • Works closely with the learning business partner to ensure to rollout and tracking of all learning related initiatives within MDS, supports defining the learning strategy and all training plans
- liaise with employees to ensure completion of all regulatory training, tracks and reports of completion.

  • Maintain and update e learning content and processes, as required
  • Collect and collate and report on training that happened within MIS on a monthly basis
  • Maintain bursary processes within MDS. Ensures employee bursary records up to date.
  • Maintain and report on specialized programmes (e.g. CFP, CFA) within MDS
  • Compile and submit ATR & WSP to Group Skills on an annual basis.

Psychometric Assessments and
reporting

  • Keep abreast and report monthly on assessment costs within MDS.
  • Ensures accurate reports are compiled to inform recruitment and development decisions.
  • Provides assessment feedback to newly appointed employees as part of the employee onboarding process.
  • Works closely with the Head of Human Capital to ensure that assessment batteries are up to date and are used consistently.

Talent management, succession planning and performance management

  • Provides ongoing support for talent management and succession planning initiatives within MDS.
  • Provides ongoing support for the employee performance related initiatives within MDS.
  • Provides ongoing support to the implementation of career management and career paths initiatives within MDS.
  • Liaises with MMH group to ensure all Talent management initiatives are implemented In line with group strategy.

  • Supports the recruitment, onboarding, development of MDS graduates or any other special recruitment programmes.
  • Coordinates and supports the compiling and updating of all role profiles within MDS.

  • Track and drive the implementation and delivery of the project plan and process change in line with the scope, cost and time parameters of the project and experience required.
  • Update and maintain relevant project tracking documents and follow up on outstanding projects.
