KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Responsible and accountable for the holistic control of the PSA Funeral Scheme, ensuring the development of innovative products and accountable for the formulation, implementation and management of policies, procedures, reporting and budgeting of the PSA Funeral Scheme.
  • Holistically responsible and accountable for the management of departments reporting directly to the Manager: Business Administration. This includes all aspects of the Schemes Section, PSA Sand Mine and PSA Holiday Resort, including the formulation of national strategies for the departments.
  • Interact with national account executives/ senior management of external corporate entities in order to acquire new business opportunities through corporate contracts.
  • Act as the PSA's account executive responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of existing business relationship in support of the company performance. Constantly seeking innovative products and methods of enhancing the unique brand of the PSA and in the process maintain a competitive edge in the union market place.
  • Responsible for the strategic planning and management of the PSA Insurance Scheme (Cell Captive), in order to, amongst others, be able to offer innovative products and initiate marketing strategies to ensure optimal growth of the Scheme.
  • Responsible for the formulation and implementation of strategic direction of all aspects of the PSA Holiday Resort. This will include amongst others innovative marketing strategies, competitive pricing structures and policy formulation.
  • Responsible for the strategic management and direction of the PSA Sand Mine. This will include amongst others the formulation of policies and procedures, implementation of cost saving measures to obtain maximum profit and monitoring of compliance with legal requirements.
