We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Tester to get involved with our Forcelink and My Smart City software test team.

The role involves quality and test advocacy, ensuring that quality products, that have passed a rigorous QA process is released to our clients.

This position will report into the Test Manager.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Analyse and translate business/technical requirements specifications into test scenarios and test cases
  • Creation and implementation of test data
  • Participate in defining test approaches, test plans and test scripts.
  • Adhere to policies, standards and procedures applicable to testing and quality control
  • Contribute to the implementation of improvement initiatives, helping to drive a quality culture
  • Application of various testing techniques including but not limited to unit, functional, integration and performance testing
  • Analyse test results and prepare test completion reports
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecyle
  • Alignment to Software release management policies and processes

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
  • Familiarity/Experience with Automated Test tools would be an advantage
  • Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language
  • Knowledge of at least one database management system
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Understanding of overall automation test engineering concepts
  • Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL
  • Attention to detail, methodical and structured approach to testing
  • Analytical mind and problemsolving aptitude
  • Strong organizational skills
