Hire Resolve is partnering with a leading company in the IT industry to recruit a skilled Field Service Engineer for their Cape Town location. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for the company's products.

This person handles first and second-line support and installation of network switches, routers, IP telephony systems, and other customer equipment at their site. They will install and configure Cisco and Huawei equipment and Ascidian NID devices. The job also includes racking and stacking equipment in the VB pops.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide solution and product-specific consultation and support.
  • Configure and set up networking devices for deployment on the Vodacom Network.
  • Ensure devices are correctly configured and ready for shipment on schedule.
  • Manage regional support stock levels.
  • Attend and advise on solution scoping meetings.
  • Design and deploy Cisco switch configurations.

Requirements

  • N+ A+
  • CCNA or equivalent
  • HCNA
  • HCNP preferably
  • CCNP preferably
  • Extensive experience with telephony devices.
  • Strong technical knowledge of LAN and WAN infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of network systems.
  • Knowledgeable about SD-WAN solutions.
  • Good understanding of wireless solutions.
