Job Title: Field Service Engineer, Western Cape

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Prostaff Holdings. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for medical instruments, including installation, maintenance, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out medical instrument post-sales technical support activities, including installation, de-installation, and routine maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications at customer sites.
  • Ensuring that quality technical service is provided to all customers, in the quickest possible turnaround time.
  • Supporting the team with customers on-site and in-house repairs, as well as installations, maintenance, and operator training.
  • Supporting applications specialists with customer training on all technical aspects of instruments, as well as supporting business areas with relevant instrument knowledge and specifications.
  • Adhering to client service level agreement deliverables and department planning and activities roster.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant instrument manufacturing standards for maintenance, installation, and upgrading plans according to customer needs.
  • Completing relevant administration within set timelines, including electronic field (case) service reports, expense reports, and boot/car stock (spare parts) reconciliations against monthly reports.
  • Maintaining high levels of customer engagement throughout visits with regular updates and feedback to customers.
  • Escalating complex instrument technical queries, challenges, or software and hardware upgrades to relevant personnel in accordance with procedures for swift resolution.
  • Working closely and building relationships with the sales team and service department.

Requirements:

  • An electrical or electronic related diploma or degree is essential for this role.
  • Must have good computer skills, specifically MS Office, and previous experience with sales force or similar CRM software.
  • Previous experience having worked as a Field Service Technician within the clinical diagnostic field, or related markets, is preferred, however the company will consider a junior person to be trained up for the role.

Salary Package: The salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
