Job Summary

The Individual Touch is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join our team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. This role involves supporting the HR Department with administrative tasks, providing exceptional support to employees and managers, and contributing to a positive working environment.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity will see you maintain employee records, prepare contracts, and administer the onboarding process for new employees. You will also provide support and input in new hire orientation, be a point of contact for employees on HR-related queries, and assist with payroll administration.

Other responsibilities include administering external training, assisting with recruitment administration, filling vacancies by placing internal and external adverts, and compiling increase letters, confirmation of employment letters, and general ad-hoc letters as requested.

You will also oversee and supervise the office team on day-to-day operations, coordinate internal communication initiatives, and assist with employee events including executive meetings, year-end functions, conferences, induction, and training.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need 2+ years of experience as an HR officer. You must have a strong understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures, as well as full knowledge of HR functions and best practices.

You should possess critical competencies such as strong ethics and reliability, high-level confidentiality, meticulous HR administration skills, excellent client service skills, and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Skills

The ideal candidate will be proficient in MS Office, have own reliable transport, and possess excellent command of verbal and written English. Additionally, they should be able to organize and prioritize tasks when under pressure.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, between R250,000 - R300,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
