About the Role

BDO South Africa is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Business Services and Outsourcing department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the Payroll team by executing accurate and timely payroll functions for various clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the efficient running and administration of payroll and assist clients with payroll-related queries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, commissions, bonuses, allowances, and other deductions.
  • Reconcile variance reports and capture leave transactions.
  • Ensure all relevant payroll information is up-to-date and assist with payroll queries.
  • Provide clients with ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Manage statutory submissions, including UIF declarations, WCA calculations, and bi-annual and Tax Year End periods.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and benefits administration.

Requirements

  • Matric qualification
  • Qualification or Diploma in Payroll
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in Payroll
  • Experience working in an outsourced environment is an advantage
  • Payspace system experience is an advantage
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent data entry accuracy
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment

The successful candidate will be based in Cape Town CBD and will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
