  • Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support on all remuneration and benefits-related matters.
  • Retirement Funds and Benefits: Manage retirement funds and insured benefits, medical aid scheme strategy, and policy and general remuneration practices.
  • Remuneration Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain remuneration and benefits systems.
  • E-filing and Submissions: Manage e-filing, WCA submissions, and other legislative returns.
  • Payroll Administration: Manage payroll administration and reconciliations.
  • Legislative Compliance: Reconcile employee's PAYE, SDL & UIF and any other legislative returns, tax issues, and any SARS queries.
  • Preparations and Reconciliation: Assist with the preparations and reconciliation of all payroll, and third-party/vendor payments.
  • Equity Reporting: Assist HR with equity reporting.
  • End-of-Year Processing: Assist with end-of-year processing and reconciliation including payment summaries - Financial Year-End.
  • Ad-hoc Reports: Prepare/write ad-hoc reports for business as and when required.
  • Bursary Processing: Manage and Prepare bursary processing and reconciling on payroll.
  • Annual Reports: Prepare and submit annual reports to Paris.
  • STATS SA Submissions: Submit STATS SA reports.
  • Increase and Bonus Schedules: Prepare and manage increase and bonus schedules, and reconcile inputs.
  • Leave and Bonus Provisions: Prepare and manage leave and bonus provisions.
  • Auditor Liaison: Deal with auditors: Internal, External, Department of Labour and Bargaining councils.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification and/or relevant payroll-related qualification is essential.
  • Experience: 10 years relevant experience of which at least 5 must be in a managerial role.
  • Payroll Tax Knowledge: Advanced Payroll Tax knowledge and experience in monthly and bi-annual submissions, tax issues and queries are essential.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid financial acumen and knowledge of SAP Accounting software.
  • Employment Equity Knowledge: Employment equity knowledge and experience.
  • Sage 300 People Payroll: Extensive knowledge of Sage 300 People Payroll software and all its different modules including ESS is essential.
  • Certified Sage 300 People Consultant: Must be a certified Sage 300 People Consultant.
  • MS Office: Advanced MS Office, particularly Advanced Excel is essential.
  • Tax Legislation: In-depth working knowledge of relevant tax legislation, employment conditions, bargaining councils, and other relevant legislation.
  • Expats Payroll: Experience in dealing with Expats Payroll.
  • Payroll Knowledge: Experience and excellent knowledge in PAYE, SDL, UIF, WCA & RMA is essential.
