About the Role

Deka Minas Pty Ltd is seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager to oversee projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of multiple projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with FIDIC contract terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Project Management: Manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects concurrently in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
  • Contract Administration: Ensure compliance with FIDIC contract terms and conditions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and oversee the commercial team, providing guidance and support as necessary.
  • Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project profitability.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow projections.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable terms and agreements.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure commercial goals align with project objectives.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 17 years of progressive experience in commercial management within the construction industry.
  • Background: Previous experience working with a main civil contractor is essential.
  • Industry Expertise: Solid background in civil construction projects, including buildings, residential, and mixed-use developments.
  • Contract Expertise: Expertise in FIDIC contracts, with a comprehensive understanding of contract administration and claims management.
  • Nationality: Any (preferred background in GCC countries)
