We are seeking an experienced Regional Business Development Manager to join our team at Isilumko Staffing. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact in the glass recycling industry.

Based on the requirements and location, we estimate the salary for this role to be around R250,000 - R350,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong track record of business development and sales
  • Experience working in the recycling industry, preferably in a management or leadership role
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel regularly and work independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Description:

Company Overview: Our client is a leading player in the glass recycling industry, with a strong presence in the Johannesburg area.

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Regional Business Development Manager to lead our sales efforts in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the region
  2. Increase Glass Collection: Work with clients to increase glass collection rates and volumes
  3. Reach Monthly Targets: Meet and exceed monthly sales targets
  4. Conduct Site Visits: Regularly visit clients' sites to assess their needs and provide support
  5. Client Retention: Build strong relationships with existing clients to retain their business
  6. Source New Clients: Identify and acquire new clients in the region
  7. GrowCounts Cullet Recoveries: Increase cullet recoveries from clients
  8. Monthly Engagement with Municipalities: Engage with municipalities to promote the importance of glass recycling
  9. Conduct Asset Audits: Conduct regular asset audits to ensure optimal performance
  10. Track Servicing of Glass Banks: Monitor and maintain glass banks to ensure they are properly serviced
  11. Liaise with NGOs, Communities, Provincial and Local Government: Collaborate with various stakeholders to promote the benefits of glass recycling
  12. Coordinate Placement and Transport of Glass Banks: Arrange for the placement and transportation of glass banks
  13. Draft and Submit Monthly Reports: Provide regular reports on sales performance and progress
  14. Loan Arrangements: Negotiate loan arrangements with clients as needed
  15. Report Monthly on Glass Banks Performance: Provide regular updates on glass banks' performance
  16. Ensure Buy-Back Centres Meet Collection Targets: Work with buy-back centres to meet collection targets
  17. Drive Cullet Supply: Engage with the hospitality industry, shopping malls, and commercial establishments to increase cullet supply

Requirements:

  • Matric: Must have a Matric certificate
  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification is an added advantage
  • Own Vehicle and Valid Driver's License: Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
  • Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel regularly is essential
  • Experience in Recycling Industry: Experience in the recycling industry is preferred
  • Excellent English Communication: Excellent English communication skills are required
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are necessary
  • Presentation Skills: Good presentation skills are required
  • Decision-Making Ability: Ability to make sound decisions is essential
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Advanced Excel skills are necessary
