Sales Development Representative

To drive sales growth and maintain a strong market presence, we seek a skilled Commercial Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves promoting and developing sales in the wholesale sector, ensuring compliance with our franchise image, and gathering client intelligence to inform key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify new business opportunities by researching potential clients and building a robust sales pipeline.
- Client Engagement: Foster strong relationships with existing and new clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet company targets and expand the commercial client base.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our products and services, and communicate their value to potential customers.
- Negotiation and Closing: Handle the full sales cycle, including negotiations, contract discussions, and closing deals with customers.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed regarding industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Reporting: Track sales performance, pipeline status, and key activities using CRM tools, and provide regular updates to sales management.
- Target Achievement: Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and KPIs.
- Training and Support: Provide training to business users on how to utilize BI tools and interpret data insights effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12
- Relevant post-grade 12 qualification in sales will be advantageous
- 3 years' previous working experience within a similar role (pharmaceutical background is imperative)
- Code 08 license and own transport
- Must be detail-orientated and work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision
- Understanding of sales/marketing/operations/buying/telesales and merchandising is ideally required
- An understanding of numbers and accounting calculations
