Job Title: Commercial Sales RepresentativeJob Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Sales Representative to join our team at On Line Personnel. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales and marketing, with a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and FMCG industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and lead generation: Identify new business opportunities by researching potential clients and building a robust sales pipeline, expanding the customer base and driving revenue growth
  • Client engagement: Initiate contact with prospective clients through calls, emails, and meetings to discuss their needs and propose suitable business solutions through the company
  • Meet strategic cycle objective: Pre-cycle meetings and the promotion of sales
  • Sales strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet company targets and expand the commercial client base
  • Product knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services, and communicate their value to potential customers
  • Negotiation and closing: Handle the full sales cycle, including negotiations, contract discussions, and closing deals with customers, as well as hold ongoing business reviews
  • Relationship management: Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
  • Market analysis: Stay informed regarding industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly
Requirements
  • Minimum of Grade 12
  • Relevant post-grade 12 qualification in sales highly advantageous
  • 3 years' previous working experience within a similar role (pharmaceutical/FMCG)
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc), familiarity with market research techniques to identify potential customers, code 08 license and own transport
  • Sales skills: Strong knowledge of the sales process, from prospecting to closing, demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets, ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced sales environments and to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a flexible, challenging sales environment
  • Soft skills: Excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills, good time management skills, ability to work independently as well as within a team, meticulous with attention to detail, team-work and support, analytical and structured, deadline driven, able to use own judgement/self-discipline, professional, hardworking and a positive attitude, assertive and professional image
