About the Role

iKhokha is seeking a highly skilled Regional Retail Lead to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with retail partners, and developing and executing in-store training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive device sales and activation within designated territories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, including store managers, sales managers, and department managers.
  • Develop and execute in-store training programs to support staff representing and selling iK products in retail partner stores.
  • Provide regular sales reporting and insights to management to inform business decisions.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve stock availability, product visibility, and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with in-store consultants to drive promotional activity, competitions, and incentives to support iK sales.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry and customer trends and propose opportunities to management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve product visibility and accessibility for end consumers.
  • Negotiate with store managers to improve product visibility and cross-merchandising.
  • Responsible for ensuring that direct reports are using the company's chosen platform to monitor and measure in-store agent activity.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of sales operations, retail sales, or field sales experience, with at least 1 year of experience servicing a big retailer in the SA retail sector and managing a team of people.
  • Proficient in English and other South African languages.
  • Strong background in consumer electronics/technology.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Solutions-oriented and excellent team-worker.
  • Confident and assertive communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
