Regional Sales Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team at Kontak Recruitment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our market reach in the Southern African region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve regional sales targets
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to drive performance and meet sales goals
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape of the Southern African region to identify opportunities for growth
  • Establish new sales channels and appoint dealers, distributors, and retailers in the region
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and financial performance within the region
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities
  • Attend industry events and conferences to represent the company and network with potential clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a sales manager in the home fashion/textile/furniture/garments industry in Southern/East African region
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Experience in analyzing market trends and conducting market research to develop sales strategies
  • Experience in managing and building sales teams and establishing new sales channels
  • Knowledge of the region's market and culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and retailers
