As a key player in Access Bank Plc, the Relationship Manager-Alliance Banking will play a pivotal role in fostering and growing strategic partnerships with alliance banking entities.

Key Objectives:

  • Maintain ownership of the alliance partner portfolio to drive retention and growth
  • Develop long-term sustainable relationships through solution-based selling with existing alliance partners

Cost Management and Revenue Generation:

  • Ensure accurate recovery of all relevant costs
  • Achieve cost containment through effective management

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Conduct regular visits and facilitate alignment between bank functions and partnership objectives
  • Provide comprehensive reporting for distribution to stakeholders
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery processes for clients
  • Manage complaints and related processes efficiently
  • Educate staff on partnership synergies

Compliance and Risk Assessment:

  • Ensure adherence to bank policies and procedures by alliance banking partners
  • Lead risk management processes for alliance partners
  • Timely assessments and reviews are conducted with adverse findings addressed promptly

New Business Development:

  • Cross-selling across payments, leveraged distribution, and forex
  • Pursue new product lines or distribution networks
  • Establish co-branded relationships

People Management:

  • Manage and develop reports involved in operational management
  • Foster strong partnering skills for output from colleagues and partners

Requirements:

Academic Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3-year business degree

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years general banking experience
  • 5 years management-level experience in banking

Skills:

  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
  • In-depth understanding of banking systems and back-office processes
  • Contract law, compliance, and risk management expertise
