About the Role

The Shoprite Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled Compensation Strategy Execution Specialist to join its team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the end-to-end compensation execution function.

The successful candidate will work in accordance with Reward Solutions frameworks and practices, supporting the implementation components of new Reward initiatives at the compensation execution level. Accountability for quality standards and risk assurance measures will be key responsibilities, including formulating clear compensation execution processes and integrating points with other People solutions and services functions.

This role will also provide general project support within the compensation execution portfolio, taking on special assignments with the Rewards, Benefits and People Support Desk functions aimed at developing, maintaining, or enhancing processes that impact compensation execution delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain day-to-day activities related to package structuring, employee compensation execution, and data administration to adhere to policies, procedures, and specified timelines.
  • Advise businesses and colleagues on status change requests, including package calculations, benefit allocations, and allowances, while collaborating with recruiters on appropriate package structures.
  • Manage the compensation execution aspects of the annual increase and bonus processes inclusive of distribution of letters.
  • Review and monitor annual share allocations and their vesting processes.
  • Gather and verify the list of participants eligible for dividend payments, processing payment details, and loading dividend prices per share.
  • Collaborate with the Reward Solutions team to explore stakeholder engagement regarding any share scheme changes, inquiries, and options.
  • Develop effective relationships and maintain compliance with Share Scheme Administrators (Investec).
  • Investigate and approve car allowance extensions and other ad hoc compensation-related considerations.
