We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Representative to join our team at Tongaat Hulett. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and improving sales performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile Weekly Statistics: Measure sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement Measures: Discuss and implement strategies to boost volumes and profitability.
  • Regular Reporting: Present weekly and monthly sales performance reports to stakeholders.
  • Customer Visits: Plan and conduct regular business reviews with customers to maintain strong relationships.
  • Competitor Monitoring: Keep track of competitor activities and report back to the team.
  • Pricing Management: Manage customer pricing and RTM (Retail Trade Margins).
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong business relationships with customers and stakeholders through regular communication.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers.
  • Warehouse Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely processing of customer claims.
  • Product Development: Assist customers in developing products that promote the Huletts brand.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Matric and B Tech in Food Technology or BSC Food Science Degree.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of sales experience in an FMCG environment, with a valid Code 8 driver's license.
  • Sales Focus: Strong sales skills and ability to build customer relationships.
  • Professional Values: High ethical values, professionalism, and maturity.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work outside normal working hours.
  • Team Player: Strong team player with a confident and assertive personality.
  • Initiative: Ability to take initiative and make decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP.
