Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Co-ordinator to join our team at Independent Hospitality Consult.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring a high level of service and quality in all food preparation and presentation.
  • Manage and coordinate the culinary team, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless execution of menu items and service standards.
  • Develop and implement effective kitchen procedures and protocols to maintain efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute special events and menu promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification in a culinary field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a busy service environment, preferably in a kitchen or culinary role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues and customers in a positive and courteous manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
