About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Partnership Manager to join our team at Dimension Data. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying, creating, and managing key-account/business relationships with select companies to develop solutions and/or create complementary products/services to produce sales opportunities for the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage individual contributor Alliance/Partnership Specialists within the organization.
  • Define mutual goals and objectives and build awareness and support of overall strategic benefits of the alliance.
  • Evangelize company products in conjunction with recruiting key alliances/partnerships.
  • Provide for financial analyses, long-range forecasting, and analysis studies associated with potential alliances/partnerships.
  • Establish metrics to assess the sales impact of the solution(s) in the marketplace and the overall success of the alliance.
  • Monitor competitor activity in accounts and implement strategies to maintain account ownership and block competitor advancement.
Requirements
  • Ensure that every alliance is orientated towards creating incremental value for Dimension Data, increasing long-term revenue.
  • Manage, maximize, and drive the relationship between Dimension Data and selected vendors and partners.
  • Explore existing alliances to discover perspectives, information, and opportunities and use this information to develop and implement detailed vendor and alliance management plans.
  • Negotiate and secure the best value pricing for partner-supplied services and products.
  • Ensure that effective processes and tools are implemented to drive the adoption and benefit of partner programs.
  • Manage and report on the performance of selected partners to ensure that metrics are accurate and evidential and that remedial action is taken against poor performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience as a senior-level manager in a large organization with an understanding of how to utilize best practices, project management, and team leadership.
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders across all levels of the organization is essential.
