Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Partnership Officer to join our team at FirstRand Bank Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering our business strategy in partnership with our leadership teams.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, driving business growth through strategic partnerships and operational risk management. You will be responsible for project managing various strategic activities, ensuring delivery of key objectives, and working closely with our executive and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Integrate opinions and information from various sources to inform strategic decisions and address operational risks.
  • Plan, manage, and execute strategy sessions and offsites, ensuring effective project management and delivery.
  • Assist in the development and roll-out of business plans, preparing for and facilitating workshops to develop strategies.
  • Monitor and adjust strategic frameworks as required, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Take ownership of project management, setting scope, developing project plans, and managing internal and external resources.
  • Write and coordinate strategy documents, presentation materials, and other relevant documentation.
  • Liaise with internal and external advisors and stakeholders on strategic projects.
  • Create governance structures and dashboard metrics to monitor progress and highlight initiatives and risks.
  • Review, consolidate, and analyze financial results to identify key drivers and alignment with business strategy.

Requirements

  • STEM or equivalent qualification.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial markets.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and risk management.
  • Exceptional written skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Solid experience in creating strategy and managing operational risk.
  • Ability to initiate dialogue and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
