Administrative Support Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Coordinator to join our team at Abantu Staffing Solutions.
About the JobThe successful candidate will provide administrative support to our office, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
About YouTo be considered for this role, you will require:
- A Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- An admin qualification or similar
- Previous experience in an administrative role is essential
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
- Computer literacy with relevant software applications – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Switchboard
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Answering telephone calls, screening, and directing them as needed
- Ensuring the reception area is always attended during office hours (excluding lunch hour)
- Greeting visitors and directing them to the correct destination
- Arranging for refreshments for visitors upon arrival
- Providing information to callers and dealing with queries from the public/customers
- Maintaining knowledge of staff movements in and out of the organization
- Tidying and maintaining the reception area
- Managing courier control – delivery, receiving, and document control
- Receiving and sorting mail and deliveries
- Managing car rental bookings
- Creating purchase orders on Sage Evolution – updating information on shared folders and ensuring the Finance Department receives documentation
- Preparing letters and documents as requested
- Assisting with planning and coordinating boardroom bookings on the calendar, catering, and other functions as required
- Assisting the Executive PA with office-housekeeping products – receiving them at reception
- Responsible for stationery orders and stock control (monthly) and water orders for the office (weekly)
- Updating the telephone management system YAXXA with relevant information as required
- Managing weekly car-wash schedules, scheduling vehicles for cleaning, and providing finance with payment schedules
- Providing general administrative and clerical support as required
The salary range for this position is R25,000 - R35,000 per month, depending on experience.
