We are offering a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year for this role.

Job Description

The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers in Africa to drive sales growth and profitability. This role requires strategic planning, business acumen, and exceptional communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business plans to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with customers at all levels, including Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technical, Operations, and Finance teams.
  • Prioritize and manage opportunities within an innovation funnel to achieve profitable sales growth.
  • Contribute to accurate volume and sales forecasts based on customer input, business intelligence, and analysis.
  • Implement customer pricing strategies to maximize profits.
  • Drive customer penetration through innovation and proactive customer intimacy.
  • Participate in industry-related events and associations.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the FMCG industry with international companies.
  • South Africa business-to-business sales experience is preferred.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM software is required.
  • Working knowledge of technical aspects of products, nomenclature, and applicability within customer manufacturing processes.
  • Valid Code EB driver's license for travel to customer meetings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills across all levels and functions.
  • Developed critical thinking skills and business acumen.
  • Structured, organized, and able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven project management skills in sales cycles from six weeks to eighteen months.
  • Flexible to change and embrace new initiatives.
