About the Role
  • This leadership role involves managing the daily operations of the Writing Centre, driving its strategic direction, and leading a team of writing tutors and staff.
  • Responsibilities include developing and implementing plans to enhance the centre's services, supervising and mentoring staff, and fostering a collaborative environment.

As Tutor Development Specialist, your key tasks will include:

  1. Designing and coordinating writing workshops, seminars, and intervention programs to meet student needs.
  2. Developing resources and materials to support student writing, collaborating with faculty members.
  3. Collaborating with university administrators to integrate writing support into student support structures.
  4. Maintaining records of student usage and program outcomes, evaluating effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement.
