Job Title: Internal Sales Business Development Specialist - Power Tools

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Sales Business Development Specialist to join our team at Professional Resources Partners Pty Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for pursuing new business opportunities, servicing existing customers, and promoting sales through differentiation of company products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pursue opportunities for new business and develop strategies to increase sales revenue.
  • Service the needs of existing customers and respond to new sales enquiries to support the activities of the external sales team.
  • Promote sales by differentiation of company products and services, utilizing the technical and quality departments as required.
  • Liaise closely with external sales to ensure regular follow-up on outstanding quotes and orders.
  • Ensure customers are fully apprised of all related issues surrounding pricing, products, and delivery, and that all correspondence from customers is responded to in a timely manner.
  • Review outstanding orders and communicate with customers to ensure they are advised when an order will be overdue.
  • Interact with the factory and/or warehouse regarding production progress, stock availability, and delivery.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating the issue, developing a solution, and making recommendations to management or directly to the customer as appropriate.
  • Monitor the quality of customer service and report problems to external sales as required.
  • Monitor competition, gather market information on pricing, new and existing products, and delivery lead times.
  • Ensure customer information on NAV is complete, including all contacts, agreed budgets, and pricing categories.
  • Understand and implement pricing structures as required.
  • Establish stock availability and pricing, and submit quotes to customers.
  • Follow up on quotes submitted to customers as required.
  • Process sales orders.
  • Buy-out stock where necessary, ensuring optimal source and cost.
  • Print packing instructions or picking slips.
  • Print dispatch notes and/or invoices if required.
  • Communicate with other departments and customers as required to ensure orders are executed correctly.
  • All communication to the customer is dealt with by the internal sales person, with any relevant information copied to the external salesperson.
  • Do whatever is required to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist directors in general management as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of the products sold by the company.
  • Good communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with fellow workers to inspire continual quality improvements.
  • Friendly and confident manner with a pleasant disposition.
  • Good communication skills with colleagues and/or customers.
