Main Responsibilities

The role of Sales Representative at DSV is to sign new business for the Durban branch and meet monthly and annual new business targets set. Key responsibilities include prospecting for new business, developing a qualified pipeline of leads, and converting them to actual billing. The successful candidate will also ensure that sustainable clients are brought on board and analyse sales-related information to translate benefits to clients and the company. Additionally, they will implement accounts, process and project management, and capture and track daily activities and minutes of meetings onto the MS Dynamics Platform (CRM).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the same industry in the new business space
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to confidently give presentations
  • Ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues at various organisational levels
  • Punctuality and good time management skills
  • Good administrative & daily planning skills
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment/technology
  • Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines without fail
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • R reliable transport & Drivers licence
  • Maintaining & Managing a healthy pipeline
  • Client empathy and ability to liaise effectively
  • Be able to handle confrontation professionally at all times
  • Must be someone that works well within a team and has a positive outlook
