We are a reputable company in the industry, and we are looking for a skilled Sales and Business Development Specialist to join our team.

Salary Estimate:$60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets and contributing to the overall growth of the company. Key responsibilities include quoting and managing sales orders efficiently, maintaining and growing a client base through effective internal sales strategies, building and nurturing relationships with existing and new clients, providing accurate advice on product requirements and timber sales, ensuring customer satisfaction post-sale and following up to strengthen relationships, completing quote administration promptly, marketing new product launches and special promotions to customers, interpreting and analysing building plans to better serve our clients, coordinating delivery schedules and managing after-sales processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferably with a sales or marketing qualification)
  • At least 4 years of experience in a sales environment
  • A minimum of 2 years in wood or hardware sales
  • Ability to read architectural plans and drawings (construction knowledge)
  • Knowledge of debtors and stock control
  • Strong understanding of timber products
  • Wood background and experience is crucial
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook; experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans; Xhosa is an advantage
