Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Business Development Director to lead our retail store management team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of multiple stores, guiding them towards achieving remarkable sales targets, fostering innovative initiatives, and delivering unparalleled customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead Talent Development
Identify training and coaching needs within the store team, emphasizing talent management and succession planning to drive business growth and employee development.
Recruitment and Performance Management
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies, ensuring the right candidates join our team. Manage performance by providing constructive feedback and coaching, aligning with company policies and procedures.
Customer Experience and Compliance
Design and implement processes to ensure excellent customer experiences, adhering to company policies and procedures. Conduct thorough compliance checks through defined processes, maintaining overall adherence to regulatory requirements.
Sales Growth and Brand Awareness
Analyze market trends and identify opportunities to boost sales and enhance brand awareness. Develop and propose strategic plans to achieve these goals, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
Operational Excellence
Collaborate with management to develop operational action plans, focusing on sales performance improvement and store expenditure monitoring based on sales and profitability reports. Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns, ensuring effective stock management practices.
Stockroom Management
Maintain the stockroom's overall upkeep, meeting housekeeping standards and optimizing storage capacity. Implement processes to mitigate risks and ensure adequate stock levels, receiving, unpacking, merchandising, and replenishing the sales floor effectively.
Lead and drive the store team to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy, aligning with company values and objectives. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this critical role, you must possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a store management role, preferably in a similar retail environment.
- A clear credit and criminal record.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business results.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
