Job Description

Resourcery SA is a professional service provider based in Cape Town offering a wide range of services to clients worldwide, including finance, marketing, analytics, operations, legal, and others. Our client is an investment company with diverse businesses in Hospitality and Food & Beverage seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Operations Director to support daily operational needs and portfolio companies.

As a Business Operations Director, you will provide essential operational support to management, ensuring smooth operations across various companies. Your duties will include providing operative and administrative support to ensure all systems operate efficiently and align with our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to Management, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting managers in day-to-day administrative tasks, such as scheduling, reporting, and maintaining operational records.
  • Providing back-office support for portfolio companies, facilitating smooth operations while ensuring compliance with internal processes.
  • Ensuring all systems operate efficiently and align with our quality standards while maximizing business procedure efficiency.
  • Supporting research and implementation of relevant compliance standards, such as health and safety standards.
  • Managing company secretarial work, including statutory filings and administrative duties.
  • Handling People Operations, including immigration requirements and employee mobility.
  • Assisting with reporting and documentation for senior management.
  • Working with off-the-shelf systems to manage business operations and ensure efficient workflows.
Requirements

As an ideal candidate, you must have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, administration, or a related field, with a passion for problem-solving and resourcefulness.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating between teams.
  • A good understanding of financial terminology and business language.
  • Experience with company secretarial work, statutory filings, and administrative compliance.
  • Financial knowledge and proficiency in business language to support operational tasks.
  • Comfort with off-the-shelf systems and tools to manage business processes.
  • Proficiency in English.
