We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Specialist Administrator to join our Business Development team at Salt Employee Benefits. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our new business development team, ensuring the efficient running of our department, and providing workable solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate meeting schedules for the new business development team, including external and internal clients.
  • Attend to administrative queries from clients daily and allocate tasks to relevant consultants or departments.
  • Act as a communication link between clients and the new business development team, coordinating responses and follow-ups.
  • Send risk quote requests to insurance companies, analyze quotes, and coordinate with risk providers to ensure timely responses.
  • Submit risk quotes to consultants for approval, document reasons, and compile cost comparisons for clients.
  • Compile a Salt EB administration proposal on the quote system and submit for approval.
  • Communicate and coordinate monthly meetings with insurance companies and communicate changes in benefits to the new business development team.
  • Build relationships with external and internal clients, identifying needs and bringing them to the attention of the manager.
  • Schedule Board meetings, coordinate dates, and assist in preparing Board packs and minutes.
  • Coordinate weekly reports from consultants and prepare and send to Salt EB Executive.
  • Organize venues for meetings and events, assist with travel arrangements, and complete general administration tasks.
  • Ensure attendance lists are completed and filed according to FAIS requirements.
  • Write reports as needed and maintain daily administration to ensure efficient scheme running.
  • Keep records of written communication with clients and internal departments.
  • Assist with marketing events, logistics, and supply/distribution of marketing materials.
  • Attend industry events and networking sessions, as approved by executives.
  • Introduce client relations consultants to clients, explain processes, and define roles within managing funds.
  • Participate in work forums, such as Occupational Health and Safety and Employment Equity.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years' experience in a similar position
  • EB experience

We are looking for a strong team player with excellent communication skills, who can maintain the brand image of SEB and adhere to company values. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn and train to broaden their industry knowledge and experience.
