Job Title/Position: Business Development Manager
Function and Business Unit: Infrastructure - Clients & Markets
Description of the Role and Purpose:
As a key member of our clients and markets team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional client value. You will work closely with our lead relationship partners and account teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple service lines. Experience working in the Insurance sector or in a client-facing role is highly desirable, but transferable skills and experience across other areas will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute account strategies to drive revenue growth and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple service lines.
- Support the lead relationship partner in building a high-performing client service team.
- Develop and implement effective account plans, including relationship mapping and opportunity pipeline management.
- Provide market insights and thought leadership to our clients and stakeholders.
- Work across the pursuit process to inform, support, challenge, and inspire our account teams to convert opportunities.
Skills and Attributes Required:
- Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and sales in a highly competitive B2B environment.
- Strong understanding of best practice account management principles and ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse account teams.
- Commercial acumen, with experience in managing pipeline and challenging/coaching teams through the sales process.
- Strong knowledge of sales methodologies and proven experience of driving opportunities through to revenue.
- Desirable: experience of procurement principles and finance or insurance-specific qualifications.
Minimum Requirements to Apply:
- Insurance sector experience or similar business development senior role in a B2B environment.
- Detailed knowledge of sales methodologies and proven experience in creating demand and converting opportunities.
- Strong stakeholder management experience with diverse teams.
- Experience related to procurement principles.
