Executive Sous Chef

Job Purpose: To deliver exceptional culinary experiences by prioritizing guest needs and exceeding expectations. Assist the Head Chef in maintaining high standards and efficient operations, while guiding and controlling the staff on each shift.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all mise en place, preparation, and cutting of meat and fish are completed to the highest standard.
- Cook and arrange food as instructed by the Head Chef.
- Coordinate activities to ensure a smooth food service operation.
- Control costs by minimizing waste and implementing portion control measures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position.
- Competent knife skills and knowledge of basic herbs, spices, and ingredients.
- Able to multitask and handle pressure.
Education:
- Matric Certificate.
- Diploma in professional cookery advantageous.
