Job Title: Commis Chef

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled Commis Chef to join our team at Leeu Collection South Africa (Pty) Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes as instructed by the Head Chef.
  • Assist the Head Chef in maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Coordinate activities to ensure efficient and smooth food service.
  • Minimise waste and exercise portion control to control costs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position.
  • Competent knife skills and knowledge of basic herbs, spices, and ingredients.
  • Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Matric Certificate and Diploma in Professional Cookery advantageous.
