Junior Service Desk Technician

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior Service Desk Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of ICT concepts and a passion for technology. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in a wide range of ICT services and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for first-level support, addressing client issues with hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring a reliable resolution process.
- Own incident management, providing assurance and consistent communication to clients throughout issue resolution.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and regular maintenance of IT systems.
- Engage in the deployment of new technological solutions, both hardware and software.
- Collaborate effectively on a variety of IT projects within the team.
- Develop and update documentation pertinent to our clients' ICT environments.
- Continuously acquire knowledge and adapt to emerging technologies and methodologies.
**Qualifications**:
- At least one formal IT-related qualification is required (e.g., diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or certifications such as CompTIA A+ or N+).
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of one year's experience in a similar IT support role.
- High emotional intelligence, excellent soft skills, and above-average written and verbal communication abilities.
- Fundamental understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365 services (including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams).
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a team-oriented work ethic.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues, along with a client-facing, presentable demeanor.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and progress within the IT field.
- Must possess own transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Fluent in both Afrikaans and English, with strong bilingual communication skills.
- Effective time management and a genuine passion for technology.

Working hours Monday-Friday 08h00 - 17h00.
Overtime and work over weekends are an exception, but can be required.
Office based position, situated in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
**Salary**: R8 000 - R12 000 depending on experience.
Start date: The position is available immediately.
