**Employee Relations Officer (JB4031)**
**Belville, Cape Town**
**R 20,000 CTC per month + R 1,000 fuel allowance + cell phone**

**Minimum Requirements**:
HR/IR Diploma
Valid Driver's License
3 to 5 years of experience in Industrial Relations
Confidentiality
Attention to Detail: Accurate checking, adherence to processes, identification of irregularities, and non-conformances
Problem Solving: Analyzing processes and allegations, identifying root causes
Accountability: Follow-through and delivery of results on objectives

Ability to Work Under Pressure
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Draft various IR documents, including warnings, charge sheets, suspensions, and terminations
Follow the Company disciplinary code to determine appropriate actions
Escalate matters to the IR specialist when necessary
Ensure correct and standardized writing of statements
Raise allegations on SharePoint
Follow and enforce IR processes and procedures
Assist Operations with pre-hearing investigations and evidence collection
Analyze evidence, request additional information when needed, and prepare charges
Prepare evidence bundles for hearings
Provide guidance on proving guilt in hearings
Ensure correct issuance of notices and liaison with relevant parties for hearing attendance
Attend hearings, act as Charging Officer, assist in presenting hearings, or act as HRIR Observer
Interpret hearings when required
Handle absconding cases according to Labour Law and Company standards
Record hearings and save recordings per Company standards
Object to con-arbs and manage CCMA matters
Ensure adherence to Grievance and Incapacity Policies and Processes
Draft necessary notices and make arrangements for meetings
Implement and monitor guidelines suggested by Chairpersons
Complete and send correct documentation to payroll
Ensure adherence to the Site Closure Process
Assist IR Specialists with training and implementation of IR processes
Coordinate DOeL inspections and HR Manager with EE meetings and minutes
Update position Job Descriptions and develop job advertisements
Forward shortlisted CVs to the Line Manager for final selection
Set up interviews and conduct applicant background checks
Build a talent pipeline for future positions
Align the recruitment process with EE objectives
Attend Client sites for fingerprinting for Criminal Checks
Conduct random alcohol and substance testing at Client sites
Contribute to team effort and comply with internal policies, rules, and legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, LRA, Employment Equity, NBCRFI, and SHEQR
