**Main purpose of the job**:

- Manage Alexander Forbes Provident fund withdrawals and assist with following up on rejection of funds

**Location**:

- **Parktown
- Johannesburg**

**Key performance areas**:

- Termination of members, change of principal members, transfers, and claims queries according to the agreed processes and timelines
- Verify and reconcile the payment of the medical aid and provident fund
- Manage the provident fund withdrawals
- Assist with following up on the rejection of funds
- Reconciliation of part of the medical aid bills
- Handle and resolve employees’ complaints and act as a mediator between employees and 3 Party
- Compile and submit relevant management reports
- Process new and temporary employees, transfers, promotions, terminations, and other payroll-related services to ensure the timely and accurate payment of all employees
- Check for discrepancies in payroll information and/or documentation (i.e., time sheets) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing
- Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports for audit purposes and requirements
- Process monthly payroll processes such as checking, reconciling, etc.
- Provide project support as and when required (i.e., data verification audits)

**Required minimum education and training**:

- **Grade 12**:

- **Diploma in Payroll Management or relevant degree in Human Resources Management**:

- **Experience in Sage 300 and other Payroll Systems essential**

**Required minimum work experience**:

- **Minimum 2 years experience in benefits and payroll administration**:

- **Knowledge of employee benefits laws and statutory requirements would be an advantage**

**Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities**:

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficiencies in South African Employee benefits products such as Retirement Funds Benefits and Medical Aid Schemes
- Have excellent attention to detail, and good analytical skills
- Confidentiality, tact, and discretion must be maintained at all times
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills are required together with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Able to exercise discretion, high levels of initiative, and independent decision-making
- Ability to problem solve and follow through on tasks
- Ability to prioritize own workload and work to tight deadlines
